About

Depth of Abstraction is the photography of Paul Taylor, a photographer based in Ukiah, in Mendocino County, California.

Since 2009 I've photographed people and places from the redwood forests and vineyards of Northern California to Oregon, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Florida, and Baltimore. My work moves between fine art, portraiture, editorial, glamour, and lifestyle, and I'm drawn to natural light, wild settings, and the quiet moments that happen between poses.

I've collaborated with dozens of models and artists, and my images have appeared in the Ukiah Daily Journal, SFist, and DCist.

"Wanderer, there is no road; the road is made by walking." (Antonio Machado)

I'm available for portrait sessions, creative collaborations, and print sales. Get in touch to start a project.
